Amar S. Doman
Mr. Doman is the founder, sole shareholder, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Futura Corporation (“Futura”). Along with his team he has led and completed over 12 acquisitions, bringing Futura to its current level of over $1.5 billion in revenues and close to 2000 employees through investments and outright ownership. His tireless dedication to creating shareholder value, and his vision for the long term when investing or buying companies, has built Futura into one of the largest and fastest growing companies in British Columbia.
Dale R. MacLean
Prior to joining Tree Island Steel, Mr. MacLean served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Taymor Industries Ltd., a leading supplier of decorative and builder hardware in North America. He was previously responsible for BC Rail’s $325 million Forest Products, Bulk and Intermodal portfolios, as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Notably, Mr. MacLean served as Chairman of the Board for the Prince Rupert Port Authority from 2004-2012. He is an honors graduate of Seneca College, and received his Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario.
As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Stachowiak is responsible for all operations as well as the sales, marketing and customer services functions within Tree Island Steel Ltd. He brings with him more than 28 years of global leadership experience. Prior to joining Tree Island in January 2013, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and President of STT Stanco (Division of Semcan Inc.,), a company that provides integrated chemical handling systems for air and water pollution control as well as liquid storage. His education includes a Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering (with Honours) from the University of British Columbia.
Ms. Nancy Davies joined Tree Island Steel Ltd. in 2008 and became VP Finance and CFO in 2011. Prior to joining Tree Island, she was Vice President Internal Audit at CHC Helicopter Corporation and held previous positions at Placer Dome Inc. and Ernst & Young. She has over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit and tax, with many types of companies ranging from multi-nationals to small privately owned companies. Ms. Davies is a CPA, CA, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Mr. Miller is responsible for capturing and leading corporate strategic planning and procurement initiatives, inventory management processes, major supplier contract management and the China Operations for Tree Island Steel Ltd. Mr. Miller previously served as Director of Strategic Business Investments with VanCity Group, Canada’s largest credit union. Mr. Miller has an Masters in Business Administration in Finance from Queens University.
Mr. Ogden came to Tree Island Steel Ltd. in 1996, and as Vice President, Engineering and Technology, leads the engineering department, including capital requirements and facilities management throughout the organization. Mr. Ogden was with Weiser Lock International, a division of Masco Industries, where he was Vice President of Engineering. He has over 30 years of operations, manufacturing, and engineering experience. Mr. Ogden is a member of both the Institute of Mechanical and Production Engineers, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He received his Masters of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 1991.
Janine Waite leads Tree Island Steel’s strategic Human Resources. Within this role she is a catalyst for organizational development, strategic planning and execution, and fosters strong and successful working relationships with Tree Island Steel’s four unionized partnerships throughout North America.
Prior to joining Tree Island, Ms. Waite spent over 16 years working with notable high growth, start up and entrepreneurial organizations such as COBS Bread, Edgewater Casino and The Body Shop Canada, helping them to become employers of choice. Ms. Waite holds her Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation and completed her education through Cornell University.
